Community Homeless Outreach and Support, INC.
We all know that times are difficult. The American government, with the invention of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, is actively working to ease the burden on the people of our country.
These funds will be administered in Wilson, Cannon, and Smith counties by Community Homeless Outreach and Support, Inc. This organization, as a sub-grantee, will case manage the financial assistance, housing relocation and stabilization services, data collection and evaluation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program within the guidelines set by the grantee, the Upper Cumberland Continuum of Care.
The two primary goals are housing stability and economic self sufficiency for all participants assisted with the HPRP funds.
We will work to:
-reduce the length of stay in shelters or in homelessness.
-reduce the number of people experiencing homelessness for the first
time.
-increase the number of people who are diverted from shelters to stable
housing.
-reduce repeat episodes of homelessness.
-reduce the number of people overall who are homeless.
We can assist eligible participants with short and medium term rental assistance, security/utility deposits, utility payments, housing search/placement, moving assistance, and motel/hotel vouchers for short term housing using the guidelines set forth in the requirements of the program.

Committed to making a difference in Wilson, Cannon, and Smith Counties.
What is the HPRP Program?
Part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program is a $1.5 billion investment in preventing homelessness and enabling the rapid re-housing of homeless families and individuals, helping them reenter the labor market more quickly and preventing the further destabilization of neighborhoods across America.
